S-SERIES 98S

Description

The S-Series is an industrial 3-Axis fixed bridge CNC router designed to process dense materials, such as solid wood, advanced polymer plastics, composites, and nonferrous metals. It provides fast acceleration, deceleration, and feed rates. The single table moves longways under the bridge, an ergonomic design that gives operators unobstructed access to three sides of the table for easy loading and unloading of large workpieces and tooling. It also allows for the easy integration of material-handling systems, transfer tables, and a wide range of automation alternatives. 

Customize the S-Series with accessories. Here you’ll find ways to increase your productivity by adding a 4th axis to a 3-axis machine; select your tool lubrication; eliminate measuring errors with automatic tool measurement systems; and more.

With a C-Axis (aka 4th axis), you can machine at an angle, including on the sides of your material, to create complex contours (such as helixes), otherwise not possible with a 3-axis machine. This comes standard on a 5-axis machine.

Bursts of air keep tools cool and remove debris and chips from the cut without the need for coolant.

Primarily used for metals, Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) dispenses only the amount of lubricant needed for your specific operation to keep tools cool and improve cut quality.

Directional air blast blows air on the tooltip to aid in removing debris and cool tools. The direction of air changes relative to the path of the machine. It can be turned on/off via M-Code.
