As part of our High-Rail lineup, the industrial C.R. Onsrud 5-Axis LR-Series provides the capacity, flexibility, and production value for processing large-scale woods, composites, foams, and metals. It is ideal for trimming applications as well as for creating sizable, bulky, and uniquely shaped components, such as molds (plugs). It accepts any type of fixturing and supports both wet and dry machining. The modular design simplifies placement and setup in your facility. This machine is built to order.

The LR-Series 5-Axis machine is a highly customizable machine. If you don’t find the accessories you need, please contact us to discuss your machining requirements and business goals.

With a C-Axis (aka 4th axis), you can machine at an angle, including on the sides of your material, to create complex contours (such as helixes), otherwise not possible with a 3-axis machine. This comes standard on a 5-axis machine.

With continuous C-Axis, a 5-axis machine gets unrestricted rotational movement of the C-axis. Without this option, a traditional 5-axis spindle has to unwind itself after a set amount of rotation.

Bursts of air keep tools cool and remove debris and chips from the cut without the need for coolant.
