Description

The EX-Series is a 5-Axis machining center for processing a high-mix of heavy and complex linear profile extrusions in aluminum, composite, and other advanced materials. It comes with a fully CNC programmable, servo-powered, quick-change clamping system that incorporates part separation and indexing. The 5-Axis capability combined with the automated clamping system provides effective hold-down, even for warped extrusions or pultrusions, as well as provides up to 6-sided access to your workpiece without having to reposition your material — delivering precision angles, undercuts, and surface finishes at high speed. With a C-Axis (aka 4th axis), you can machine at an angle, including on the sides of your material, to create complex contours (such as helixes), otherwise not possible with a 3-axis machine. This comes standard on a 5-axis machine.
